“We enjoyed our stay at this tiny cabin and found the cabin itself to be clean, comfortable, and a unique place to spend a couple of nights during our trip through Maine. It was peaceful, private, and a nice opportunity to experience a quieter side of the state. The location was more isolated than we anticipated. Winterport and the immediate surrounding area didn’t offer as much to see or do as we had expected, and restaurants, shopping, and attractions required quite a bit of driving. I would definitely recommend that future guests arrive with groceries, drinks, and anything else they might need and plan their activities ahead of time. That being said, the isolation could be a huge positive for guests specifically looking to unplug, relax, and get away from busy tourist areas. The cabin itself provided a comfortable home base, and we appreciated the peaceful setting and the unique experience. “This is one of the more peaceful and beautiful sites I’ve stayed. In the morning there is a soft chorus of birds from the whole mountain side which was reason alone to stay here. Philip was an incredibly responsive host, and answered every question I had quickly.”
