Crie Hill Cabin was built to feel spacious while occupying a small footprint. The cathedral ceilings double the volume of this refuge from the hustle and bustle of life. Large windows in the kitchen, living room, and the cozy loft bedroom offer views across the valley. The property is completely off-grid. Power is generated by six 375 watt solar panels and stored in a 7.5kwh battery, which is plenty for a couple days of usage if the sun isn't out. For extended cloudy periods there is a standby generator which will automatically recharge the battery in a short period. To conserve electricity, you will notice the water supply pressure will drop every few gallons because the well pump is a “slow start” model. The road coming up to the house, is a rocky dirt road, with a slight incline and it can be a little rough in spots. It’s totally drivable, but you’ll want to take it slow on the way up.
